A wonderfully campy '80s period comedy, Take Me Home Tonight is hilariously entertaining. The story follows a video store clerk named Matt Franklin who gets a second chance to win over his old high school crush when he learns that she's going to a local Labor Day party. Featuring Topher Grace, Anna Faris, Dan Fogler, and Teresa Palmer, the film has a strong cast that's able to bring the comedy.

All who are still there 'whoop' it up at Matt's successful return. Tori takes Matt and Barry to her boss's party in Beverly Hills. Barry has a wild sexual encounter with an older woman while Matt and Tori grow closer, after Matt's successful "put down" of Tori's boss, a habitual sexual harasser. They go into a neighbor's backyard where they jump on a trampoline, play truth or dare, and end up having sex. The title comes from the 1986 Eddie Money song of the same name, also played in the theatrical trailer and on the menu screen of the Blu-Ray and DVD releases.
The first play meeting was always right after school, after the cast list was posted. And since we had Advanced Acting as our last class of the day, this way we could just stay in the theater and Stevie wouldn’t have to come trekking back over here to get her long black puffer. Like I said, the format is not original but the content was well done. The painful awkward moments were very painful and awkward, the funny bits were very funny, you felt there was a connection there (albeit a one way connection at first since it's that kind of a movie), and it didn't seem forced .
